The program is led by Village Capital, an esteemed global organization focused on fostering impactful ventures through mentorship and investment readiness support.
The Greentech 2025 program will support 30-35 startups hailing from Africa, Asia, and Latin America, concentrating on the following critical areas:
- Cleantech and Climate Tech
- Agtech and Food Security
- Circular and Regenerative Economy
- Natural Resource Management and Biodiversity Conservation
- Water Sanitation and Health
In particular, the program will focus on 10-15 startups located in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, all committed to pioneering sustainable development.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this program, startups must meet the following criteria:
- Legal Incorporation:Â Must be a for-profit entity legally incorporated and operational in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.
- Market-Driven Tech Solution:Â Must have a tech solution that directly addresses the sustainability challenges highlighted in our focus areas.
- Compliance:Â Must be in compliance with local fiscal and business regulations.
- Founders:Â A minimum of one full-time founder must be based in one of the specified countries.
- Stage of Development:Â Must possess a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and have raised less than USD 1M in equity.
- Validation:Â Demonstrate meaningful customer or business validation, which may include pilot study successes, user base metrics, and strategic partnerships.
